Americares is a health-focused relief that saves lives and improves health for people affected by poverty or disaster with donated medical supplies. Americares has an emergency response team on the ground in Poland to support health services for families affected by the escalating humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. The team, which is in Krakow, has expertise in coordinating large-scale shipments of medicine and relief supplies and mobilizing emergency medical teams in crisis situations. Americares has 3 tons of critical medicine and medical supplies on the way to an organization working inside Ukraine, for hospitals and responders there.
CARE | Cooperative For Assistance And Relief Everywhere
CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty. CARE delivers emergency aid to survivors of war and natural disasters, and helps people rebuild their lives. They are currently reaching 4 million people in Ukraine with immediate aid and recovery, food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support, and cash assistance — prioritizing women and girls, families, and the elderly.
Global Empowerment Mission
Global Empowerment Mission has been involved in supporting the most significant global tragedies over the last decade, personally assisting in over 200 various aid relief efforts around the world. In the Ukraine crisis, GEM Bstrong is focusing primarily on its relocation programs along with support of short term vital necessities. Ukrainian Evacuees will be able to choose a country where they have family or friends that can take them in. Our Bstrong fund will be used for booking and paying flights and trains immediately so people have an immediate place to go to.
International Rescue Committee
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. We commit to stay as long as we are needed, helping survivors to heal, recover and rebuild their communities to be stronger, more stable and more democratic. The IRC is on the ground in Poland supporting displaced children and families with vital supplies including food, medical care and emergency support services.
Save The Children
Save the Children invests in childhood in times of crisis. Of the people have now fled the violence in Ukraine, 50% are children, and are in urgent need of support. Children on the move are at risk of hunger, illness, trafficking and abuse.
We help provide children and families at risk in Ukraine with food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support and cash assistance. Together, we can protect children in crisis.
United Help Ukraine
United Help Ukraine, Inc. is a charitable organization receiving and distributing donations, food and medical supplies to Ukrainian IDPs, people of Ukraine affected by Russia’s invasion into Eastern Ukraine and annexation of Crimea.
USA for UNHCR
USA for UNHCR helps to save, protect and rebuild the lives of millions of refugees and others forced to flee their homes due to violence and conflict. We focus on the basic needs and rights for refugees – like shelter, water, food, safety and protection from harm. Millions of people — mostly women and children — have been forced to flee Ukraine. They are sheltering in underground train stations, walking hundreds of miles and leaving behind everything they’ve ever known. UNHCR is on the ground scaling its response to provide assistance and ensure those displaced find safety in welcoming arms in this moment of crisis.
World Central Kitchen
WCK is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises.. With bombs still falling day and night, millions of Ukrainians continue to flee the country or relocate west to the city of Lviv. In response, WCK is rapidly expanding our #ChefsForUkraine response to distribute food—including hot, fresh meals—in five countries. We’ve now opened a kitchen and food supply depot in Poland, right on the border with Ukraine, and have multiple warehouses active in Lviv where trucks are filled with food to head east reaching cities like Odessa and Mykolayiv. We are also supporting more restaurants to serve meals in Ukrainian cities including Kharkiv and Kyiv, which remain under active attack.
Airlink
Airlink is a nonprofit organization providing airlift of emergency supplies and relief workers for 130+ aid organizations responding to disasters and other humanitarian crises, occurring around the world. The organization works with airlines, logistics partners, and donors to provide medical care, food, shelter, access to clean water, and other essential assistance to communities in crisis. In the first week of our response in Ukraine, we supported transportation for assessment and emergency response teams from 11+ nonprofit partners to Poland, Hungary, Romania and Moldova, with more thereafter.
Direct Relief
Direct Relief is a humanitarian aid organization, with a mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies. Direct Relief is working directly with Ukraine’s Ministry of Health and other on-the-ground partners to provide urgently needed medical aid, including emergency response packs intended for first responders, oxygen concentrators, critical care medicines, and much more. Shipments of specifically requested medical aid continue to Ukraine and surrounding countries to address medical needs.
